Expert White Water Rafting Review

Experience the whitewater of the Sandy Rivers. Shoot the 38 miles of Class II-IV rapids, perfect for all levels of experience. This section is located in western Oregon, east of Portland, 15 miles from I-84.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from March to June, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from a half day to 2 days. Popular trips include the 4.5 mile section from McNeil Campground to Lolo Pass Road, and the 13.5 mile section from Lolo Pass Road to Marmot Dam. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and kayaks.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, and whitewater experience is recommended. Outfitters on the Sandy Rivers offer trips suitable for families.
