Golf Courses in Portland, Eugene, Oregon Cascades, Willamette Valley

Things to do / Travel Guide

There are a number of exciting golf choices in the Oregon Cascades and Willamette Valley region. Two are right around Portland: the Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek Course, and the Reserve Vineyards South Course. The former is a highly-acclaimed course with many elevation changes, trees, and sand bunkers to get the best of you even before you get to the greens, which are large, undulated, and have ridges and tiers. The latter course is strewn with sand traps, trees and water.

Further south in the region you'll find Aspen Lakes, where you'll be surrounded by eight different snowcapped mountains.
The course itself is dotted with several large, blue ponds, and spotted with bunkers of crushed, red volcanic rock. Spectacular beauty guarantees you'll arrive and depart with a smile on your face.

Crosswater is a very difficult course if only because it stretches a whopping 7,683 yards. It is also designated as a certified Audubon Sanctuary, so whether the birds you see look like peacocks or pigeons may depend on how well you hit the ball.

Finally, the Sun River Resort Woodlands Course challenges you with deep bunkers, lakes, and rock outcroppings, so accuracy holds the key to your success.
