Meaning, "house befitting heaven," the Spa at the Halekulani is the first to explore the healing traditions of the Pacific Islands including Tonga, Samoa, and Tahiti. From its natural interior design, including images of Hawaii's beautiful nature, to its sliding Japanese-style door, wooden grass window coverings, and bamboo and pebble flooring, the Spa inspires peace and tranquility in all who come here. Located on five oceanfront acres in Waikiki, approximately nine miles from Honolulu International Airport, the Spa at the Halekulani offers guests a full menu of treatments, including massage, body, and facial therapies, as well as beauty and hair services, inspired by Hawaii's diverse heritage.
The Halekulani has hosted celebrities and politicians throughout its nearly 100-year history. Enjoy treatments such as the Polynesian Nonu, or the Samoan inspired massage which uses stones and nonu, as well as Ton Ton Amma, or Japanese Amma massage with "ton ton" pounders. Along with Lomi Lomi and Thai massage, body treatments scented with Lavender Orchid, Hibiscus, Limu (seaweed) for purifying and Papaya Pineapple for anti-aging are also available, as are scrubs, wraps, and steams. Couples can enjoy one-of-a-kind luxury in the Vera Wang Suite, great for special experiences such as weddings, anniversaries, or honeymoons. Don't forget to take home some samples of the signature line of facial and hair care products while here. Finally, everyone will enjoy the one-of-a-kind dishes from Hawaii's freshest, most delectable ingredients at any of Halekulani's three restaurants, all of which boast stunning views of the sea.
