What has a downtown, an uptown, and a monorail system? Maybe a city? Or maybe its Pearlridge Center—the largest and coolest indoor shopping center in Hawaii. With more than 170 stores and anchors Macy's, Sear's, and Toys R Us, this huge mall is divided into two areas—Uptown and Downtown, and the island's only monorail system (called Skycab) transporting shoppers between the two. Catch an amazing view of Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial while on the monorail! You can also see some other views at Pearlridge Center's 16 screen movie theater. There are also two other minor strip malls that are part of Pearlridge Center: Pearlridge East and Pearlridge West. Are you on your way yet?
Shopping is easy at this mall where you will find all your favorite and familiar shops like American Eagle, Footlocker, KB Toys, Sephora, MAC, and tons of other children's, men's, and women's apparel and accessory stores. So whether you need a new bathing suit for your trip or a new winter coat for when you get back, you will definitely be able to find it at Pearlridge Center! This mall is a hot spot for tourists and it's no wonder with the loads of activities available here. In the Uptown area of the mall you can check out Tilt arcade or create your own adorable teddy bear at Hanai Bear. The downtown area offers its own arcade style fun at Fernandez Fun Factory. For a great family activity head over to Jungle River Mini Golf—they also have a snack bar and arcade and are located at Pearlridge East. If you have your little ones with you, head over to Pearlridge West for a fun, educational, multi-sensory class at Gymboree Play and Music. For your convenience there are two food courts here, so go and treat your tummy to some of the great food at Pearlridge. In the Uptown area you have so many choices like Charley's Steakery, Aloha Sushi, Moe's Southwest Grill or Sizzler. For a quick, cold snack head over to Farrell's Ice Cream. The Downtown food court has a style of its own with restaurant favorites like Chili's, California Pizza Kitchen, or Tsuruya Noodle Shop. You can also head over to Pearlridge East for a family meal at Denny's or Big City Diner.

Between the two, separate shopping centers lies Sumida Farm, the largest supplier of watercress in the State of Hawaii.
