Honolulu and Waikiki abound with many different types of shopping. Listed and described below are some of the unique places to shop in Waikiki.
  • A wide range of local, talented artists display their works at The Fence. This refers to the fence by the Honolulu Zoo facing Kapiolani Park. There are many different styles and mediums, including original artwork, prints, and photographs, to see and buy here.
  • For a large and varied selection of antiques (including used aloha shirts), visit Bailey's Antique Shop. At this fun place to shop, you'll find lots of bric-a-brac and various other wares for sale. Another shop offering a variety of many different kinds of items, is Island Treasure Antiques.
  • In Chinatown, there is always a variety of new art shops and galleries around. As you explore this part of Oahu, keep your eyes open for them.
  • Many different and funky shops, and even art galleries, can be found along most of the North Shore.
  • To experience some history and shop at the same time, visit the Kahuku Sugar Mill in Kahuku on the windward side. This location used to be a very busy sugar cane mill, now out of operation. There are many shops and restaurants in the center of the mill.
