Guided Tours in Honolulu, Waikiki and Oahu, Hawaii

Things to do / Travel Guide

Guided walking tours of the Honolulu area, including Waikiki and Chinatown, are available through the Mission Houses Museum and the Hawaii Geographic Society.

For guided driving tours of Oahu, many companies operate full- and half-day excursions from the Waikiki area. The most popular of these are the “full circle” tours of the island, combined with a stop or two at major attractions like the Polynesian Cultural Center. These tours take a whole day to complete on the average. There are also several shorter tours available.

To really see the island's interior and more remote parts, a guided tour is recommended. Many companies provide nature hiking tours, vehicle sightseeing, and even eco-tours.

Many companies offer aerial tours of the island, by either helicopter or seaplane. These companies operate near Honolulu International Airport and by Dillingham Air Field. Although this is the most expensive option in terms of taking a guided tour, it is the most thrilling, comprehensive, and time-efficient way to see everything Oahu has to offer.
