Things to do / Travel Guide
The vast majority of visitors come to Oahu via Honolulu International Airport (HNL), which is conveniently located just three miles from downtown Honolulu. It is also from this airport that you can catch flights to the other Hawaiian islands. Note that there is no public transportation to the other islands by boat or ferry. There are, however, some inter-island cruises available.
The only other way to reach Oahu is by private boats, yachts, or commercial cruise ships. All of these vessels dock at the Port of Honolulu, also located near downtown. Cruise ships arrive here from many places, in particular the west coast of the U.S., such as Los Angeles and San Diego.
