Our Zoo and Aquarium Expert Says:
Kids love this 92-acre zoo with more than 300 species and over 1,200 animals, where they're allowed to run as wild as the animals. They'll especially enjoy the daily elephant baths and the night exhibit, which features porcupines, sloths, fruit bats, and vampire bats. Another favorite is "Bug World," which is home to dung beetles, walking sticks, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, giant African millipedes, scorpions, and other creepy creatures. There's also a neat grizzly exhibit that let you watch the bears swim beneath the water.
Especially for kids: Petting Zoo. Stroller rentals available.
Extras: Educational Presentations.
Open 9 am to 5 pm. $$ (Moderately Priced)
