Venture down the whitewater of the Elwha River and experience the 6 miles of Class I-II rapids. This section is located in northwest Washington, south-west of Port Angeles, 2 miles from Hwy 101.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to September, with whitewater rafting trips that can be completed in a half day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Elwha River offer trips suitable for families.
Expect to See: Hawks, osprey, eagles, deer, and elk in a wilderness environment.
