While in Tacoma, check out Job Carr's Cabin in downtown Tacoma. Job Carr was the very first person to ever call modern-day Tacoma "home" as well as its very first mayor. Although a low-key monument, and a replica at that (the original cabin, from 1865, presumably fell apart at some point), Job Carr's Cabin stands out given its location in the middle of a busy port town and is now a historical sight many locals are proud of.
