The Bellevue Botanical Gardens are owned and maintained by the city of Bellevue. The Bellevue Botanical Gardens consist of over 30 acres of wetlands, woodlands, meadows, and display gardens. Some highlights include the Yao Japanese Garden, the Alpine Rock Garden, and the Waterwise Garden. The Yao Garden combines native Northwest species with those from Japan in a stroll garden. The Lost Meadow Trail, near the Yao Garden goes deep into the woods. The Alpine Rock Garden exhibits plants normally seen at high elevations.
