Football, baseball, and basketball fans will have a great time in Seattle, the hub of the northwest Washington and Cascades region's spectator sports. The 2006 NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, led by Matt Hasselbeck, play in the region, along with Major League Baseball's Mariners and the NBA's Supersonics. The venues where these teams play their home games, Qwest Field, Safeco Field, and Key Arena, and are all located in the greater Seattle metropolitan area, within a 3-mile radius of one another.
And horseracing fans can take a trip down to the track at Emerald Downs, located just about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma, in Auburn.
