Venture down the whitewater of the Dinosaur Section on the Yampa River. Experience the 72 miles of Class II-IV rapids, the last un-dammed river in Colorado. This section, Dinosaur National Monument, passes through Dinosaur National Monument and is located in northwest Colorado, west of Craig, north of USHwy 40 on Co Hwy 123.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to June, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 3 days to 5 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Dinosaur Section on the Yampa River offer trips suitable for families (certain sections).
