Of the Park City resort trio, The Canyons is the closest to the airport and Salt Lake City, making it one of the most accessible resorts of its kind in the world. Just a few miles away from the historic downtown of buzzing Park City, The Canyons base village is inviting and cozy, providing a great entry to the awesome and enormous terrain of The Canyons' eight peaks. In fact, The Canyons is actually one of the nation's biggest resorts. Almost all the buildings and lifts have been rebuilt in the last 10 years, boosting the resort with a plethora of modern amenities. Nearby Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival and the 2002 Winter Olympics, is a world-class ski town brimming with nightlife, shopping, historic sites, entertainment, and lodging options.

As one of the country's largest resorts, there is terrain for every skill level and style. Extreme chutes and gullies are available on The Canyons extensive expert and advanced terrain, largely off the Ninety Nine 90 Express, Tombstone Express and the Super Condor Express. Intermediate tree skiing is plentiful on Peak 5. For ungroomed bowls, head to Murdock Peak. Some of the best intermediate trails are under Saddleback Express and on the lower mountain. Beginners have seven acres set aside just for them, in addition to some trails of the High Meadow and Saddleback lifts. The Canyons award-winning 18 acre terrain park is in the Sun Peak area and features hits, rails, boxes and a halfpipe. There are also seven natural halfpipes in The Canyons. Snowboarders will also enjoy the terrain off the Ninety Nine 90 Express chair, with plenty of wide open chutes, steeps and trees.
