Things to do / Travel Guide
Northern Utah is perhaps best known for its proximity to world-class skiing. Utah golf, on the other hand, is not something one thinks about flying in to do for the weekend. It turns out, though that the golf in this region is quite worthwhile and enjoyable.
Thanksgiving Point is one big time golf experience every golf enthusiast should try some time, especially if he (or she) is a BIG hitter. You'll find 7,728 yards of fresh green grass growing up beneath thin - very hitter friendly - Rocky Mountain air. Links Magazine calls it one of 15 “hidden gems” in the country, while Golf Digest called it the number one public golf club in Utah.
Wingpointe is close to the airport, so if you are inclined to get a little golf in between flights, you just might be able to satisfy that itch. You'll find Scottish links-style feel with lots of wildflowers, lakes, wetlands and native wildlife. This highly-rated course is a “must play” if you're in the neighborhood.
