Shoot the whitewater rapids of the Klickitat River. Challenge the 15 miles of Class III-IV rapids, difficult to access but the great whitewater makes it well worth the effort. This section is located in south-central Washington, southeast of Glenwood, on Glenwood Hwy.
Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to June, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 1 day to 2 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.
Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.
Expect to See: Mountain goat and deer in an environment of wilderness, and canyons.
