Expert White Water Rafting Review

Venture down the whitewater of the Black River. Experience the 7 miles of Class III-IV+ rapids, popular for the combination of fast moving flat-water, big waves and ledge type drops. This section is located in northern New York, outside of Watertown.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from May to September, with whitewater rafting trips that can be completed in 1 day. The river is suitable for paddle rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips, and whitewater experience is recommended.

Expect to See: An environment of wilderness, and mountains.
