Venture down the whitewater of the Rio Chama. Experience the 32 miles of Class II-III rapids, popular for one- or two-day family trips. This section is located in northern New Mexico, southeast of Dulce, 10 miles from Hwy 64.

Practical Info: Rafting season is open approximately from April to August, with whitewater rafting trips ranging in length from 2 days to 3 days. The river is suitable for paddle rafts, and oar rafts. Portage may be required.

Useful Tips: Guides are optional, although permits may be required for private trips. Outfitters on the Rio Chama offer trips suitable for families.
