Things to do / Travel Guide
Most towns and campsites in northern Michigan have their own parks and playgrounds. Here are a couple of the more unique park options:
- The Kids Cove Civic Center Playground in Traverse City has wooden mazes, slides, ship, castle, swings, and an obstacle course of bridges.
- Bowers Harbor on the Old Mission Peninsula is a large park with volleyball, basketball, baseball, and new playgrounds featuring a covered wagon and a replica of the Madeline schooner.
- Gaylord Ramp Park in Gaylord is an outdoor city park that offers ramps and obstacles for in-line skates, skateboards, and BMX bikes. Admission is free, and helmets are required.
