Our Zoo and Aquarium Expert Says:
Zulu craftsmen constructed the zoo entrance - an authentic thatched roof through which all visitors must pass in. From there you can walk or take a tram through the 73 acres that feature botanical gardens, exhibits, and carousel rides. One of the newest exhibits, Range of the Jaguar, takes place in a Central or South American-like tropical rainforest. In addition to the jaguar (of course) the exhibit features lions, birds, and reptiles, including the anaconda snake. The Wild Florida exhibit presents local wildlife including black bears, alligators and wolves. All of the other animals you'll likely see at a zoo are here as well, including gorillas, elephants, rhinos, and the like.
Especially for kids: Petting Zoo, Train Rides. Stroller rentals available.
