If you are looking for a family-owned atmosphere, go to Monticello Winery. This is a small farm-based organic enterprise, specializing in 13 varieties of Muscadine wines, both red and white. These wines are either semi-sweet or dry, but not sweet. You can find it near the town of Monticello, east of Tallahassee at the intersection of Routes 19 and 90. You can come by appointment most anytime, without an appointment during regular business hours on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. In season - mid-August through September - you can even help out with the harvest, picking grapes the old-fashioned way.

Monticello Vineyards & Winery is a unique Florida farm winery. Located in the Red Hills bioregion of north central Florida, the winery is housed at Ladybird Organics and is owner operated. The farm and vineyards are certified organic by Quality Certification Services under USDA's National Organic Program. More than thirteen different varieties of muscadine grapes are cultivated. The grapes are all organically grown in our own vineyards, handpicked, and processed on-site at the farm winery.
