Our Golf Guru Says:

Want to play where the pros play? This is the place. If you try it, you'll pay for the experience in blood, in sweat, and especially in tears. This is the first course built for "stadium golf". Accuracy is critical. The wind is a major factor. Water intrudes on every hole. Only the best should attempt to play here because otherwise it's a waste of balls. It's expensive, but worth it if you have the skills. Every hole is a challenge you'll long remember.
$$$$ (Very Expensive)

Golf Course Statistics:
6,954 yards, par 72, slope 149 - designed by Pete Dye (1981). This is a resort course.

From TPC at Sawgrass - Stadium Course:

The Stadium Course at the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., is the home course for the PGA Tour's member players and site of The Players Championship-the crown jewel of the Tour schedule, offering the richest purse and attracting the best field in professional golf. But that is just the functional description of the Stadium Course, conceived by former PGA TOUR commissioner Deane Beman and brought to fiery life by Pete Dye, one of the most influential architects of the last 50 years. Such a description omits the enchantment it evokes and the unmitigated exhilaration and infuriation it provokes.
