Things to do / Travel Guide
If you've come to northeastern Florida and the Panhandle to be thrilled, you won't be disappointed. This region has a great share of adventure activities to get your adrenaline pumping.
Parasailing
Parasailing is available in Daytona Beach and the Emerald Coast. From these lofty heights you get to check out terrific vistas of Daytona Beach's surroundings, of the beach, the hotels, and the water. You can also rent wave runners and other watercraft from many of the outfitters in the area.
Skydiving
If “Geronimo” means more to you than being the name of a legendary Indian chief, then you'll love the chance to freefall a few thousand feet in northeast Florida and the Panhandle! Did you know that in the freefall from nearly 14,000 feet you'll reach a terminal velocity of up to 120 miles per hour? The outfitters around Daytona Beach depart from Flagler County Airport or DeLand Municipal Airport.
Farther north, you can skydive 80 miles east of Jacksonville with Skydive North Florida, at the Suwannee County Airport. The airport is located on I-10 near the city of Live Oak.
