Our History Buff Says:

You will never experience a view of New York City like the view from the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

The six-level observation deck at the Top of the Rock provides guests with an unmatched 360° view of New York City. From the ground to the top floor of the deck (70 stories!) is a looming 850 feet that you reach by hopping on the snazzy 50 second high-speed shuttle. And when you're up in the sky at the Top of the Rock, you won't just see the city, you'll experience it. With no time limit, guests are welcome to spend as little or as much time as they want scooping out the city and enjoying the historical multimedia exhibits. Hop from floor to floor to get new perspectives and angles and see how much of the city you can identify from such great heights.

30 Rockefeller Plaza, also known as the GE Building or 30 Rock, was built in 1933 and serves as the office and studio home of NBC. The Top of the Rock Observation Deck opened to the public in 2005 after a $75 million renovation. The Top of the Rock is open seven days a week from 8:00am to midnight, with the last elevator departing at 11:00pm. Make sure you stop by the gift shop for some souvenirs and enjoy your journey up into the skies of New York City!
