Our Show & Concert Fan Says:
Located in Midtown Manhattan's Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Music Hall is one of the world's largest theaters, with a marquee that stretches over an entire city block, and a stage (the Great Stage) that is considered to be technically perfect. Visitors from New York and abroad visit the Radio City Music Hall to bask in post-Depression, art deco splendor of the great theater!
Tours are available and recommended at the Radio City Music Hall. Guests can sign up for the Stage Door Tour ($10/kids, $17/adults) which brings visitors on a one hour exploration through the theater. Highlights include the Great Stage, the art deco architecture, the Wurlitzer Organ, an introduction to the Rockefeller Center, and the Radio City Avenue Store. You can sign up for a tour either in advance or at the Radio City Avenue Store.
The Music Hall Christmas show is a New York tradition definitely worth experiencing. Since 1933, this live spectacular showcases dance performances with a Christmas flair to welcome in the holiday season. The highlight of the show is the Rockettes, who continue to tour (with revolving members) even today. Expect a superb chorus line of high kicks, dazzling choreography and lights, and a little bit of Mr. Claus here and there too! Other events and performances are held at the Radio City Music Hall during the year, so check the schedule and make your way over to the Radio City Music Hall for a New York theater experience you won't ever forget!
