With over 140,000 shows and advertisements spanning over 85 years of history, the Paley Center for Media is a sure delight for all kinds of people and tastes. Starting with labor leader Samuel Gompers ' 1918 speech, the center's collection includes comedy, drama, news, public affairs, performing arts, children's, sports, reality, animation, and documentary programs. Visitors can browse over 7,000 international programs from over 70 countries, selected on the basis of artistic achievement, social impact, or historic significance.

Visitors can choose a program from the collection, and watch it in a private console, or with up to four people in a family console. The Paley Center's theaters feature a wide variety of programming from David Bowie, Jim Henson, or shorts from Saturday Night Live. Eating and drinking is not permitted in the center, so be sure to leave your popcorn at the door.

Founded in 1975 by William S. Paley, a pioneer innovator in the media industry, the Paley Center for Media serves as more than just a great video library. With locations in New York and Los Angeles, the Paley Center for Media leads the discussion about the cultural, creative, and social significance of broadcasted media on the world today. It also serves as a neutral setting where media professionals can engage in discussion and debate about the future of media.

Groups of 15 to 100 people can arrange special private showings of specially selected works focusing on a variety of topics.

To get to The Paley Center for Media from 405 (San Diego Freeway): Exit at Santa Monica Blvd. Travel east to N. Beverly Dr. and turn right on N. Beverly Dr. From 10 (Santa Monica Freeway): Exit at Robertson Blvd. North. Travel north and turn left on Burton Way to N. Beverly Dr. (Burton Way becomes S. Santa Monica Blvd.). The Paley Center is on the corner of N. Beverly Dr. and S. Santa Monica Blvd. Parking is available to the general public in the Paley Center parking lot.
