Our Museum Expert Says:

Visit the oldest children's museum in the world! Celebrate the Chinese New Year, construct your own fort, and perform on a parade float - all at the Brooklyn Children's Museum.

The Brooklyn's Children's Museum has 9 different galleries that offer visitors a variety of adventures in world culture and natural science. The museum boasts a computer-equipped library, 3 different theaters, and weekend workshops. The Totally Tots gallery includes different areas that promote literacy and physical and social development. There are also gallery spaces like the Baby Patch, the Sand Spot, the Play Pond, the Kids' Quarry, the Reading Nook, the Peek-A-Boutique, and Parent Junction. The Together in the City exhibit lets kids visit Yankee Stadium, experience a Bat Mitzvah, and hang out in the pizza parlor. In addition, the Museum has a collection of nearly 27,000 items of cool cultural objects and natural history specimens that the whole family can peruse and enjoy.

For lunch, there are many local restaurants in Crown Heights, offering a great variety, and promising something yummy for everyone. To get here, take the B43 or B44 to St. Mark's Avenue or take the B45 or B65 to Brooklyn Avenue.
