Adelson Galleries was founded by Warren Adelson with the idea of presenting a broad range of the finest works by American artists. Although the gallery has had a special focus in the art of the later 19th century and early 20th century, encompassing the Impressionist and Realist movements, it has presented a broad spectrum of American art. The leaders of these movements have been shown in group exhibitions and the gallery has also organized numerous critically acclaimed monographic exhibitions. Among the recent major shows have been several devoted to Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent and Maurice Prendergast.
