Okemo Mountain is not just designed for families; it is run by one. As one of Vermont's last family-owned and operated resorts, owners Tim and Diane Mueller guarantee every member of the family will have a memorable experience – on account of the great skiing and family bonding, of course. Okemo Mountain's success stems from the personalized service, friendly staff and unique programming for every age group. In addition to its reputation for great service and family fun, Okemo Mountain also boasts some of the best quality snow in the Northeast, covering 95% of its slopes with machine-made snow and than grooming it to perfection.
Okemo Mountain Resort has five primary mountain areas: Jackson Gore Peak, Solitude Peak, South Face, Glades Peak and South Ridge. The Outrage and Double Black Diamond are gladded trails for expert and advanced skiers. Okemo's mogul runs, including Wild Thing, Blind Faith and Punch Line, make great cruising runs when groomed. Some intermediate runs include Dream Weaver and Sidewinder, with Solitude offering the slopes without the crowds. The longest trail, Mountain Road, is 4.5 miles and is the easiest route down from the top of the mountain. Jackson Gore has gentle terrain and two moving carpets and a high-speed quad, perfect for novice and beginner skiers and snowboarders. Okemo has a superpipe and an incredible five terrain parks: The Dew Zone Jib Park (with a variety of rails), Blind Faith Terrain Park (rollers, bank turns, tabletops), Tomahawk Familycross Park, Hot Dog Hill Terrain Park (beginner park) and the longest, Nor'Easter Super Park ( with rails, step downs, spines, s-turns, tabletops, funboxes, hips, double tabletops, rollers and pyramid jumps).
