Bromley Mountain Resort takes its skiing seriously and pretty much leaves the rest of the vacation frills to the nearby town of Manchester. Antique and craft chops, little white churches and quaint lodging options give this town the perfect, picturesque Vermont village feel. Located just 6 miles east of Manchester, Bromley Resort is a fully functional and family-friendly ski area that has limited extra-amenities but everything you need for the complete, and intimate, ski vacation. The resort also boasts the only mountain in Vermont with southern exposure, promising warmth and sunshine even in the heart of winter. Slope-slide lodging is available, but visitors might rather opt to stay in Manchester, or nearby ski hub Stratton, where nightlife, lodging and other off-mountain activities are plentiful.
The majority of trails on Bromley Mountain are blue coming down from the summit, with green cruisers great for intermediates and beginners. For experts, there are some treed glades (try The Plunge) and soft advanced mogul fields as well. A few black runs can be found on the steeper east side of the mountain, with some short and fast runs that are bound to challenge. Try Stargazer or Blue Ribbon. A Learning Center area is separated from the rest of the mountain, making it a great area for beginners and first-times. The three terrain parks offer something for every level of rider. Bonanza Freestyle Park is great for beginners. Unforgiven Boarder cross is full of hips, tabletops and banked turns. Finally, Halo Freestyle Park is full of rails and hits, including new Blue J Rails. It is located on Lord's Pray.
