Stretching across 2,893 acres, Mt. Sunapee State Park is an oasis for lovers of winter and summer recreation. Visitors will enjoy skiing and exploring in the wintertime, and hiking, swimming, and fishing in the summertime. Between seasons in the fall, the park is a wonderland of color with the changing deciduous trees, delightful for relaxing hikes on the Park's many trails. A central attraction at Mt. Sunapee is the beach on the 4,085-acre lake, where canoe and kayak rentals are also available. The campgrounds have sites for tents and lean-tos, perfect for family camping in this activity-filled State Park.

This major recreation area in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region offers year-round activities. In the winter, alpine skiing is available at Mt. Sunapee Resort, owned by the state of New Hampshire and managed by the Okemo Mountain Resort. Enjoy hiking, swimming, picnicking, boating, fishing and swimming in the summer/fall months. The campground offers lean-to and platform sites for family camping. Mt. Sunapee State Beach is situated about a mile from the campground and offers many amenities.
