Our Nature Nut Says:

One of Vermont's newest parks, Kingsland Bay State Park is 264 acres of beauty, largely untouched by people. The park is home to the historic Hawley House as well as the McDonough Natural Area with its many rare plant species. Visitors are welcome to go boating, fishing, and sailing in Lake Champlain, as well as hike the woods of maple and hickory. In the winter, park-goers can also enjoy cross-country skiing and the scenery of snow-covered mountains that surround the area. Kingsland Bay is also perfect for family reunions, weddings, and company picnics, so if in the area or planning a big event - be sure to drop by!

From Kingsland Bay State Park - Vermont:

Kingsland Bay State Park is one of Vermont's newest parks and at present has limited services. Much of the 264 acres, along the shores of Lake Champlain, remains as a natural area. The historic Hawley House (1790) is part of the complex. Future public access is planned. This property dates back to the first settlers in Ferrisburgh and has been home to Ecole Champlain, an exclusive girls camp, until the late 1960s.
