The Wright Museum, in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, is a non-profit educational center that focuses on the lives and accomplishments of American men and women who served during WWII. Their stories are archived and exhibited at the Wright Museum and serve as a memorial to their heroism.

Exhibits display vintage artifacts and include multimedia and interactive presentations that highlight life during the American WWII experience. Some subjects you may encounter include Student Life in the 40s, Scientific and Technological Advances, Women's Role on the Home Front, Recycling and Rationing, and Soda Fountain & Dentist Office—all interesting topics that cover the varied aspects of social, political, and military history. For the military enthusiasts, there are also displays of fully operational tanks, army jeeps, ambulances, and other military vehicles. Of special note is the 42 ton Pershing tank, the only remaining one of its type from the capture of the Bridge at Remagen over the Rhine River.

Another special exhibit you won't want to miss is the Time Tunnel. The Time Tunnel consists of seven rooms, each one bringing guests through a year of the war's history. Starting from 1939 and ending in 1945, guests will be exposed to the social history of Americans during the war years. It serves as a great educational and interactive tool for familiarizing guests of all ages about the personal stories of soldiers and families during this time of great upheaval.
