Our Golf Guru Says:

Built on hilly terrain (it IS a mountain course in a mountain state), this course has rolling, fast greens. A creek will present you with difficulties on five holes, and you will find yourself in the heavy woods at times. This is a highly rated course and you pay for that fact. All golfing levels can enjoy.

Golf Course Statistics:
6,134 yards, par 70, slope 125 - designed by Wayne E. Stiles/John Van Kleek (1902). The season runs from April 1 to November 1.

From Rutland Country Club:

One of the grand dames of Vermont golf. It opened to play in 1896 on a nine hole layout designed by George Low. It was expanded to eighteen in 1928 under the guiding hand of Wayne Stiles. The course has been "growing in" ever since. Relatively few changes have been made to the layout. They haven't been necessary. Few clubs in the entire state receive higher all-around marks from the golfing public than does Rutland.
