The biggest sporting event in the New Hampshire and Vermont region is the Sylvania 300, a NASCAR Nextel Cup stock car race, usually held sometime in September in Loudon, New Hampshire. Other than Taladega and Daytona, the Sylvania 300 is the only Nextel Cup race to feature restrictor plates.
