Our Zoo and Aquarium Expert Says:

The sea lion shows continue to be the most popular attraction at zoo, but they're just part of the fun. After you've had your fill of jumping, balancing, splashing, and walking sea lions you can take in the rest of this beautiful zoo's creatures which include rockhopper penguins, black bears, chimpanzees, and much, much more. The Mary Ann Lee Conservation Carousel, featuring 64 colorful hand-carved wooden animals, is the zoo's newest attraction, while one of its oldest is the First Bank Zooline Railroad which offers a 20-minute narrated tour weaving through tunnels and animal exhibits. There's even a children's zoo which combines educational activities with just plain fun. It's a place where kids can treat a lorikeet to a cup of nectar, pet bunnies and goats, and meet brilliantly colored frogs.

Especially for kids: Petting Zoo, Train Rides. Stroller rentals available.
