Things to do / Travel Guide
Riverboat gambling is the name of the game in Missouri, with eight casinos floating on the rivers that run through this region. While the majority of the establishments are located near St. Louis and Kansas City, there's also a casino, the Isle of Capri Casino, located smack in the middle of the state, in Boonville. The casinos in this region are only open for limited hours, but some of them don't close on the weekends. You must be at least 21 years old to gamble in a casino in this region. Importantly, while you are not allowed to lose more than $500 within a two-hour period, there is no limit on winnings! Most of the casinos in this region offer roulette, blackjack, slots, video poker, and Caribbean Stud Poker. Other games you are likely to find in Missouri's casinos are Let It Ride, pai gow poker, craps, baccarat, poker, mini-baccarat, Spanish 21, and Three-Card Poker.
