Mall of America

The Mall of America is one of the largest shopping malls in all of the United States and is the place to shop if your near the Twin Cities. A destination in and of itself, the Mall of America attracts visitors from a hundred or more miles away. This massive shopping complex holds over 500 stores on four different floors and has enough parking to accommodate 13,000 cars. While the Mall of America never held the title for "World's Largest" it is the world's busiest with an incredible 40 million shoppers (about 8 times the population of the state of Minnesota) a year passing through its doors.

Besides shopping, the complex also holds an amusement park with two rollercoasters, an aquarium, and even a wedding chapel. Plans are set to begin building Phase II of the mall, which will include an NHL-size ice skating rink, a dinner theater, three hotels, a water park, and an additional 400 stores.
