Minnesota's largest indoor water park features a 224-room resort, water slides, tube rafts and a basketball court, promising spectacular fun to be had by all. The Grand Rios Indoor Water Park is 45,000 square-feet and offers aquatic entertainment for the young and young at heart. Grand Rios is home to the Midwest's Largest Hurricane Plunge, where riders travel down a dark, three-story, serpentine tube, traveling at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour, swirl around a funnel-shaped bowl, then finally splash down into a plunge pool. Other great rides include a 500-gallon dumping bucket known as The Big Splash, a play area called Coconut Island - where water lovers can shoot water cannons, and a 535-foot action river which winds throughout the park. Those seeking a more peaceful water experience can choose from two private spas, or the sport pool. Grand Rios also has a kids area, a basketball court and an excellent arcade known as "Player's Club" - a 3,800-square-foot game room which contains over 50 video machines that will keep older kids entertained for hours.
