Can you say that you were at the first enclosed mall ever built in the United States? You will be able to say so after you visit the Southdale Center—the nation's oldest, built in 1956. Don't worry—there have been continuous updates since then and it's a completely modern place filled with fantastic shopping and fun! There are over 120 stores for your shopping pleasure, fully equipped with anchors Macy's, JCPenney and Marshalls. There's also a 16 screen AMC movie theater here for your viewing delight or for when you need that shopping break—and you'll need one after navigating through this 3 level mall!

If you've got the kids with you, take them over to Kiddie Land—located on the main level in the JCPenney wing near the Hallmark store (you should pop in while you're here!). Your kids will enjoy the fun rides and games there and you'll enjoy the break. If you're at the mall by yourself, treat yourself to an amazing massage at Bath Ocean Waves Massage and O2 Lounge.
