Just five minutes from the Minneapolis International Airport, The Mall of America has over 520 stores (76 restaurants, cafes and fast-food eateries!) with some of the biggest names in America. With four department stores, (Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, and Sears) and endless other shops ranging from furniture to fashion, this 4.2 million sq ft. mall has what it takes to bring in the visitors. An 18-hole mini golf course, indoor amusement park, the world's largest underground aquarium, a 14-screen movie theater. Need I say more?
Well, more there is! There is also a NASCAR silicon motor speedway, a four-story Lego display, a food court and sit down restaurants with such names as Hooters and the Twin City Grill. You can spend days here and still not cover it all. And that's why there are a number of hotels located right in the vicinity. Free transportation is available to and from the mall throughout the day from all these hotels.
The mall is located in Bloomington, Minnesota, at the crossroads of Interstate 494 and Highway 77, and is only 15 minutes away from the downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul. If you're coming from the airport, MetroTransit buses run between the airport and Mall of America every 30 minutes.
