Our Sports Superfan Says:

Although it is now tied as the third oldest arena in the National Basketball Association, the Bradley Center is the biggest indoor arena in Wisconsin. It is home to both an NBA and Division I college team and a minor league hockey team, and has hosted several postseason college basketball and hockey tournament games.

The Bradley Center opened in 1988 to replace what was then known as The MECCA, which was the home of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, college basketball's Marquette University Golden Eagles, and minor league hockey's Milwaukee Admirals. It was actually constructed with the help of a charitable gift from local philanthropists made to the state of Wisconsin; a very rare situation in arena construction.

In addition to sports, when the Bradley Center seats 19,000 for college hoops, 18,717 for pro basketball, and 17,800 for hockey, the arena squeezes in 20,000 people for concerts, hosting celebrities like Celine Dion and Billy Joel. Thearena has also hosted many other memorable performances, including figure skating, Sesame Street Live, the Harlem Globetrotters, and major professional wrestling events.

Located in downtown Milwaukee, the Bradley Center can be reached via mass transit on the Route 49 (only for Bucks games), 11, 10, 12, 23, 30, and 31 buses.
