Our Shopping Expert Says:

It's not everyday you can shop at a historical site! But, at Ford City Mall you can! It also has great shopping and a great environment, so what more do you really need? Ford City Mall, located in Chicago, is both an indoor and outdoor center, converted into a mall only after being abandoned by the Ford Motor Company who had used it as an automobile manufacturing warehouse. Before that, the building was occupied by Tucker Corporation and prior to that it was a factory which manufactured bomber engines during World War II. What a taste of history!

Ford City Mall is a bi-level shopping center with a bright central atrium with a ceiling filled with beautiful skylights. The mall is home to anchor stores Carson Pirie Scott, Marshalls, Sears and JCPenny. Ford City Mall also hosts 150 other stores and 11 different eateries, including Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar, IHOP, and Cajun Grill & Café. There is also a 14 screen movie theater, a kids club and a carousel—plan to spend lots of quality family time at Ford City Mall! There's something for everyone, and the kids won't be bored for even an instant!

If you are coming from downtown Chicago take I-90 toward I-94 East then take the Stevenson Expressway/St Louis exit onto I-55 South towards Stevenson Expressway. Exit at Cicero Ave. and take a left at Cicero Ave. South, continue on for about 4 miles and Ford City Mall should be on your left. You can't afFORD to miss this great mall!
