Swimming is best in the summer time (but good all year) and surfing is best during the winter swells (but also good all year). The nearby Ritz-Carlton Kapalua hotel has a beach activities desk and rents out snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boogie boards – other great activities that are enjoyed at Fleming Beach. The south end of the beach (near the Ritz) is often filled with tourists, while the rest of the beach is more frequented by locals.

Fleming Beach is a great family-friendly beach. Swimming is safe, there are lots of shady spots, and the beach is packed with amenities. There are lifeguards on duty and a whole slew of amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, grills, showers, and a bar/snackbar.
