Things to do / Travel Guide
Maui's warm weather is always a pleasure to experience, especially if you're arriving here from a colder climate. Pleasant and sunny throughout the year, tropical showers are frequent occurrences, but don't last for too long, especially on the windward coast. On the leeward coast, however, the weather is quite temperate, with rain falling rather infrequently. The days are basically clear, warm, and beautiful, except for the occasional tropical shower, with the temperatures rising slightly during the summers. Gentle northeast trade winds have a cooling effect that keeps the humidity level down, as they blow across the island on an almost daily basis. It actually snows in the winter, but only at the top of Haleakala, the island's highest volcanic peak, so no need to bundle up.
