Shopping in Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai

Things to do / Travel Guide

Maui

On Maui the main shopping spots are located in Paia, Lahaina, Makawao, and Kaanapali. In each of these areas you can find anything from local arts and crafts, to eukeles, postcards, and Hawaiian hats and shirts.

For those visitors who wish to return with some local samples of fruits from the island of Maui, such as coconuts, pineapples, or papayas, you can purchase these delectable items from local area green grocers. Be aware that all produce is subject to an agricultural inspection before your departure.

Molokai

As the “big town” on Molokai (Kaunakakai) is only three blocks in size, the only shopping available is in the shops off the main street of Ala Malama. Note that stores on Molokai close up shop early, prior to “dinnertime hours.”

Lanai

Lanai City features some limited shopping options in the form of Richard's Shopping Center, on 8th Street, as well as in the locally-owned stores selling Hawaiian items and locally-made arts and crafts on 7th Street.
