Things to do / Travel Guide
Maui
The Haleakala High Altitude Observatory is the perfect place to enjoy a panoramic view of the island. In addition, from the observatory you can also see all the way across to the Big Island of Hawaii.
Molokai
Molokai is one the most picture-perfect places on Earth to see the sun set. Sunsets on Molokai are so breathtakingly beautiful, even the locals have been known to stop dead in their tracks to “ooh” and “aah” at the setting sun. For one of the better views of sunset on the island, it is recommended that you head to one of the following spots: the Kaunakakai Pier and the Ninth Fairway at Kaluakoi Golf Course or the Kapuaiwa Coconut Grove.
Molokai's rainforest at Kamakou is the home of the Pepeopae Trail, which leads to the Pepeopae Lookout. From the lookout you can see a fascinating panoramic view of the Waikolu Valley.
Lanai
From the top of the Mahana crater, which is accessible by roads from Kaanapali, you can see a glorious view of Molokai's south coast. On a clear day, you can even see all the way across the waters to the western side of Maui.
