Guided Tours in Hawaiian Islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai

Things to do / Travel Guide

Maui

An excellent way to see Maui is on an organized bus tour. Many Maui tour operators offer half- or full-day tours that can traverse large sections of the island, with the favorite excursions being to the peak at Haleakala, the Road to Hana, and the Kahakuloa Village. Costs tend to be quite high ($80 and up), and advance booking is recommended during high season from May-August.

There are a number of helicopter operators that offer island tours from the skies above Maui. Helicopter tours are costly (about $100-$115), and flights usually last between half an hour to an hour. Advance booking of flight tours during the high tourist season is recommended.

Molokai

The Molokai Princess is a gyro-stabilized, high-speed, air-conditioned touring yacht with departures to Maui in the morning and returning to Kaunakakai, Molokai in the evening. The Molokai Princess whisks tourists from the Kaunakakai Wharf across the waters to Lahaina, Maui in just over an hour. It is possible to customize a seafaring journey aboard the Molokai Princess that could also include a drive package and/or visits to Pala'au State Park and Kalaupapa Overlook as well as some of the other “famous spots” on Molokai, such as Purdy's Macadamia Nut Farm and Father Damien's.
