Perched majestically on the beautiful shores of Fort Williams Park, the Portland Head Light shines its beacon out on the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse houses a museum dedicated to the art of lighthouse navigational assistance, including a number of interpretive displays and lighthouse lenses.

After you tour the lighthouse, sit for a picnic at the beautiful ninety acre Fort Williams Park, where there are hiking trails and picnic benches, sport and recreation areas, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Fort Williams Park is open from sunrise to sunset, and there is no admission fee. Admission to the lighthouse is minimal. Bring the whole family out to the Portland Head Light & Museum for an enlightening and fun experience!
