Our Golf Guru Says:

You may bump into former President George H. W. Bush here. It's his favorite place to play. You'll still have a wonderful time at this historic course built in 1896, even if you don't get to rub elbows with the former president. Part of the charm and challenge of this Scottish links-style course are the small greens, the water that feels like it's everywhere, and the sand on every hole. It's a short course with a spartan clubhouse, so either finish quick, or bring your own food if you think you'll be getting hungry.

From Cape Arundel:

Known for its' beauty along the shores of the Kennebunk River, this links style course with small greens, rolling terrain, and tidal creeks is a challenge to all who dare test it. Created in 1896 and redesigned in 1919-1923 by world famous Walter Travis, British and U.S. Amateur Champion, Cape Arundel has been able to preserve the aura of golf and its' tradition. With par being 69, Walter Travis himself may have said it best, "While the course is on the short side it will strongly appeal to every class of golfer and the person who equals par will have played "some" golf."
